NEWIG Youth in Entrepreneurship Program Intake 12 Graduation

25 headporters, popularly known as “kayaye” were trained in the production of beads and toiletries as well as catering. The 3 months training was funded by EMPOWER Foundation and supported and ran by NEWIG. At the end of the training they were supplied with the necessary tools and materials to enable them set up independently. Present at the graduation ceremony was Madam Philomena Sam, an entrepreneur and fundraiser, the South Tongu District Education Officer, Ghana Beauticians and Hairdresser’s Assoc. and the Tailors and dressmakers Assoc. Traditional leaders from various parts of the country were also present.
